President of the Asian Cricket Council Jay Shah released the much awaited Asia Cup 2023 schedule. From August 30 to September 17, 2023, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup. All the matches will be played at international quality venues in a 50-over ODI event. In the 2023 version, there will be two groups, and two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage. The best two teams from the Super Four stage will then compete in the final.

Pakistan and Nepal will play in the opening game of the 2023 Asia Cup in Multan. Six teams will compete in the tournament. Which are into two groups. Group B consists of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Group A includes Pakistan, India, and Nepal.

The match hosts will alternate between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The game will be in a fifty-over style. Four matches will take place in Pakistan at two different locations. While the remaining matches will be in Sri Lanka.
