Recently, the Bangladesh government rewarded their men’s cricket team with 3.2 Crore Bangladesh Taka (up to 2.24 Crore in Rupees). The governing body granted this reward to their national cricket team on 14th September 2024, for their remarkable victory in the Test series against Pakistan.
Earlier in cricket history, Bangladesh did not win even a single Test match against Pakistan. Now they have straight-up won the Test series 2-0 sweeping Pakistan and shocking them.
Ministry of Youth and Sports awarded Bangladesh Men’s Cricket Team.
The Advisor of MYS (Ministry of Youth and Sports) — Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, handed the award to their national men’s cricket team. Najmul Hossain Shanto captained and led the Bangladesh team to blow away Pakistan in both Test matches held at Rawalpindi.
Najmul Shanto is a 26-year-old young, talented national team captain. Also, he is the 2nd Bangladeshi cricketer to have scored a century in domestic T20s after Sabbir Rahman.

Regarding the reward matter, the BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) officially posted it on their X account saying:
“What said has been done! The Bangladesh Government awards a monetary amount of BDT 3.20 crore to their men’s cricket team. The national team’s triumph against Pakistan is now a reality after many losses in their cricketing history. Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Advisor for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, awarded this sum of money to Faruque Ahmed, the chairman of BCB. Moreover, a part of the funds, from BDT 3.2 crores, will be donated to the flood victims.”

In the 2nd Test held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh made it to rewrite their cricketing history. Earlier they never won against Pakistan in a test, but now they beat the same by 6 wickets.
On 3rd September 2024, Bangladesh triumphed in their first-ever series win by defeating the Asian rivals. Pakistan laid down a 185-run chase target and Bangladesh accepted the challenge, marking their dominant performance with a maiden victory in the first Test.
